    In the Preferences > Petals > Maven panel, it is possible to define a model version. However, when creating a new SU, this parameter does not seem to be used in any way.

The reported issue targetted a previous version of the studio (1.0) and made no sense for the version 1.1.0 since the Maven support was completely changed.

You're right, some people here are still using the 1.0 release. You can close this issue

Are you sure you are using Petals Studio 1.1.0?
Here is what the preferences look like in this version.

The model version is not present anymore.

The model version should be fixed to 4.0.0, which is the default model version for all the maven 2 projects.
