PETALSSTUD-126 is now solved.
To have a direct executable, you simply need to build the studio with Tycho under Linux (tested).

Tycho sets the permissions on the executable when used under Linux.

In fact, building under Linux is not enough.
I will wait to move on a headless build (under Linux).

The build script has been updated.
But building the studio under Windows does not set the permissions (the chmod ANT task does not have effect on Windows).
The studio's build should now be performed on Linux.

Although it is mentionned in the install guide, we might indeed consider this a bug, and expect the build process to set the right permissions.
