Petals CLI supports a preferences file containing some connection information and other configuration option.
If no preferences file is set through the environment variable, the default preferences file $PETALS_CLI_HOME/conf/petals-cli.default is used.
It is interesting to have a default preferences file at user level:

    • if a file is set into the environment variable PETALS_CLI_PREFS, it is used,
    • otherwise, if the file $HOME/.petals-cli/petals-cli.default exists, it is used as preferences file,
    • otherwise, the file $PETALS_CLI_HOME/conf/petals-cli.default
